overall opinion on the Aquarius sign

aquarius is one of the most interesting signs imo and probably one of the most misunderstood as well, which is coincidentally one of aquarius’ biggest fears. i think a lot of people have aquarians pegged as unemotional, detached, and highly logical, but aquarius as a sign contradicts itself in many ways. as an air sign, aquarius is inclined to value logic over emotion, but this doesn’t lessen how much an aquarius feels; it instead leads them to make logical sense of how they’re feeling, which can’t always be done, so they may choose to deny or ignore their emotions altogether until they are inevitably forced to deal with them, which is often messy since they are so inexperienced and unable to make sense of it. a well-developed aquarian can learn to overcome this! as the sign of the water-bearer, aquarius is also very closely associated with humanity, community, and caring for people – from a distance. aquarius is an idealist through-and-through, so they often focus on saving the world rather than fixing what’s right in front of them, and this tendency to detach can spill over into a lesser-developed aquarian’s personal relationships, resulting in feelings of loneliness and otherness. lastly, aquarians can certainly be highly logical, but the aquarian mind stretches logic to nearly unrealistic extremes, which is why aquarius is associated with science, invention, and all that is new. the phrase “there is a method to my madness” is very deeply aquarian!
